Pediatric Nursing Care Through Georgia Medicaid
MedTex Home Care helps families access free in-home nursing support through the Georgia Pediatric Program.
What Is the Georgia Pediatric Program?
The Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP) is a Medicaid-funded program that provides free in-home nursing and personal care services for children who need daily support.
If your child has Georgia Medicaid, they may qualify for skilled in-home nursing hours to help with daily routines, health monitoring, and safety at home.
MedTex Home Care handles the entire process for you, from checking eligibility to completing the GAPP submission.
Who May Qualify for GAPP?
This program is for medically fragile children who require daily skilled nursing due to high-acuity medical conditions such as:
• Cerebral palsy
• Seizure disorders
• G-tube or feeding tube
• Trach or ventilator support
• Genetic or neurological disorders
• Wheelchair-dependent mobility
• Complex medical needs requiring nursing oversight
If your child meets these criteria, MedTex Home Care can help you apply for free, Medicaid-covered nursing through the Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP).
Get Paid to Care for Your Child
If your child qualifies for GAPP Personal Care Services, a parent or family member may be able to become their paid caregiver at home.
How does it work?

Medicaid reviews their care needs
If Personal Care Services are approved, an eligible family member can complete the caregiver requirements
MedTex helps with training and onboarding
Once approved, you can provide your child’s authorized care and get paid through MedTex
You don’t need to already be a CNA. Our team will guide you through the process from application to starting care.

GAPP eligibility is based on your child’s individual medical and care needs. Autism alone typically does not qualify a child for GAPP services, and MedTex does not provide behavioral or ABA therapy.
