At MedTex Home Care, our PCAs and CNAs are carefully selected and matched to each child’s needs. Every caregiver completes background checks, credential verification, and required screening to ensure families can feel confident and secure in the care their child receives.
For personal care, our compassionate team provides individualized support with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, and meal preparation. Our trained caregivers help create a safe, supportive home environment while encouraging independence, comfort, and overall well-being. All personal care services are fully covered for eligible families, with no out-of-pocket cost.

Your child can receive top-quality, in-home medical care from licensed nurses at no cost to you. Our skilled RNs and LPNs provide services such as medication administration, seizure monitoring, respiratory treatments, feeding tube support, and more—tailored to children with complex medical needs. By bringing expert nursing care directly into your home, we ensure your child receives the care they deserve in the safest and most comfortable environment.
Eligibility Made Simple: GAPP Program
To qualify for GAPP services, your child must:
Be under the age of 21.
Georgia Medicaid coverage
Medical or developmental disabilities requiring skilled nursing or personal care at home
Doctor’s documentation confirming medical need
If your child meets these requirements, they may qualify for free in-home care services. The program is not a waiver service, meaning there is no waiting list; your child can begin receiving care immediately after approval.

Medication Administration & Management
Administering oral, injectable, intravenous (IV), or gastrostomy tube medications
Monitoring side effects and effectiveness

Respiratory & Airway Management
Tracheostomy (“trach”) care (cleaning, suctioning, and monitoring airway)
Ventilator management and monitoring
Oxygen therapy
Administering nebulizer treatments
Feeding & Nutritional Support
Gastrostomy tube (G-tube) or nasogastric (NG) tube feeding
Monitoring weight, hydration, and nutrition
Wound & Skin Care
Dressing changes for surgical wounds, pressure ulcers, and burns
Bed sore prevention & treatment
Ostomy care (colostomy, urostomy)
At MedTex we employ highly qualified, skilled nurses, including RNs and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), to provide these services under the direction of a physician and within a GAPP approved care plan.

Home Care Assistance
At MedTex, our compassionate caregivers are here to provide essential support for your child right at home. When medically necessary, personal care services may even be provided and paid to a parent or family member. Contact us to learn more about this option.
Personal care services we offer include (but are not limited to):
Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Gentle help with bathing (bed baths, showers, sponge baths)
Dressing and undressing
Grooming support (hair brushing, shaving)
Oral hygiene assistance
Toileting and incontinence care (bathroom help, diaper changes)
Mobility support (moving from bed to wheelchair, walker, or other assistive devices)
Positioning and turning (preventing bedsores for children who are bedridden)
Feeding assistance for those who cannot feed themselves (not including tube feeding)
Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs)
Preparing nutritious meals
Assisting with eating for children with limited mobility or function
Light housekeeping (tidying the immediate area)
